How a repair unfolds

01

Intake & Diagnosis

Your instrument is received, photographed and logged. A certified technician runs a 34-point diagnostic covering optics, mechanics, electronics and illumination subsystems.

02

Transparent Quote

Within three business days you receive a written estimate detailing recommended repairs, replacement parts, turnaround time and a fixed all-inclusive price. No hidden fees.

03

Workshop Service

Approved work is carried out in a climate-controlled workshop using calibrated torque tools, anti-static protocols and original or certified compatible components.

04

Verify & Return

Every repair is followed by full calibration, a written service report and a 12-month labour warranty. Your microscope is repacked in a custom foam case and shipped back insured.

For nearly two decades Microscope.Click has been a quiet fixture in the scientific instrument community — the workshop research labs call when the main optical supplier cannot diagnose a problem, when a legacy binocular has sentimental weight, or when a calibration deadline will not wait.

We are technicians first and merchants second. Every member of our service team holds a manufacturer-issued technical certification in at least three platforms, with three senior engineers accredited across the full range of advanced imaging systems including confocal, fluorescence, phase contrast and differential interference contrast.

Our clients include university departments, biotechnology start-ups, forensic laboratories, semiconductor inspection lines, art conservation studios and clinical pathology centres. The unifying thread is simple: a microscope that must be right, not merely working.

What clients say

Their technicians recovered a thirty-year-old Zeiss Axiophot that three other workshops had refused to touch. The optics are now sharper than when we inherited the instrument.
Dr. Eleanor Harrington
Senior Pathologist · Meridian Clinical Research
★★★★★
We run forty-two microscopes across three teaching labs. Since moving our maintenance contract to Microscope.Click our downtime has dropped to almost nothing and our students notice the difference.
Prof. Matthias Berg
Chair, Cell Biology · Nordheim Institute
★★★★★
Their calibration certificates have sailed through every ISO audit we have faced in the last six years. Professional, meticulous, and refreshingly honest about what really needs doing.
Anya Kovalenko
QA Director · Helvar Diagnostics
★★★★★
The consultation service alone saved us from specifying the wrong imaging system for our semiconductor line. Independent, technically brilliant and entirely vendor-neutral advice.
Ren Takahashi
Head of Metrology · Ostara Silicon

Frequent questions

Q · 01 How long does a standard microscope repair take? +
Most standard repairs are completed within five to nine business days after the instrument arrives at our workshop. Complex electron, confocal or heavily motorised systems may require two to four weeks depending on parts availability and the scope of rebuild required. We always confirm an expected return date in writing before beginning any work.
Q · 02 Do you service microscopes from every manufacturer? +
Yes. Our certified technicians routinely service Olympus, Nikon, Leica, Zeiss, Motic, AmScope, Bresser, Celestron, Euromex, Keyence and more than thirty additional specialty brands. We also restore vintage and legacy instruments, including Bausch and Lomb, Reichert and early Leitz models, sourcing or machining compatible parts when originals are no longer available.
Q · 03 Is your calibration certified for ISO laboratories? +
Every calibration includes a traceable certificate aligned with ISO 17025 principles, covering stage accuracy, objective parfocality, illumination uniformity, reticle verification and — where applicable — fluorescence intensity calibration. Our certificates are routinely accepted by accreditation auditors in clinical, pharmaceutical and semiconductor environments across multiple jurisdictions.
Q · 04 Can you recommend a microscope for a new research lab? +
Absolutely. Our consultants match instruments to your application, sample type, throughput requirement and budget. We deliberately remain vendor-neutral so that the advice you receive is shaped by your needs and not by sales targets. Consultations can be conducted remotely or in person, and a written specification document is always provided.
Q · 05 Do you offer a warranty on repaired instruments? +
All repairs include a twelve-month service warranty covering labour and any replaced components. Extended care plans and preventive maintenance contracts are available for institutional clients who wish to budget their instrument upkeep over multiple years. Warranty terms and exclusions are documented in every service report.
Q · 06 Can you ship a repaired microscope internationally? +
Yes. We routinely ship serviced instruments worldwide in custom foam-lined flight cases, fully insured and with all required export and customs documentation. For high-value or fragile research instruments we can arrange climate-controlled freight and white-glove delivery to the bench on request.
Q · 07 Do you offer training for laboratory technicians? +
We run on-site training sessions covering daily use, cleaning, Köhler illumination setup, routine fault finding and good preventive practice. Training can be delivered as a single half-day refresher or as a multi-day programme for new laboratories establishing imaging protocols from scratch.

Let's put your optics in order.

Tell us about your instrument, your laboratory or the problem you are trying to solve. A senior engineer will reply personally within one business day with a realistic assessment, a clear next step and, when appropriate, a written quote.
